Users may encounter printing issues such as:
Printer not responding
Documents stuck in the queue
Print spooler service errors
“Printer Offline” messages
Inability to add or detect a printer
Make sure the printer is powered on and has paper/ink/toner.
Ensure all cables are securely connected (USB or Ethernet).
For wireless printers, verify it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
Press Windows + I to open Settings
Go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Click on your printer, then click Set as default
Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click it, and select Restart
If needed, stop the service and delete stuck print jobs from:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERSGo to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
Click Run next to Printer
Go to Device Manager (devmgmt.msc)
Expand Printers, right-click your device, and choose Update driver
Or visit the manufacturer’s website and install the latest driver
Alternatively, remove and re-add the printer in
Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Go to Settings > Windows Update
Click Check for updates and install any pending updates
Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Right-click your printer → See what’s printing
Cancel all documents
If using a shared network printer, ensure file and printer sharing is enabled on both systems.
Disable any firewall or antivirus temporarily to test if they’re blocking print jobs.
For USB printers, try using a different USB port.
